dominique + serena is a multidisciplinary architectural studio founded by Dominique Hauderowicz and Kristian Ly Serena. We are especially interested in the social potentials of architecture and the build environment.

Vandringens Hus (House of Walking) proposes spatial and economic opportunities for locally based, sustainable tourism. Located in the island of Møn in southern Denmark, along a popular hiking route, the project provides spaces for the local community to gather and initiate social activities, while offering accommodation for visitors.

Aiming at setting the conditions for mutually beneficial experiences, the project offers a variety of indoor, outdoor and intermediate spaces, in varying ways influenced by the rough, atmospheric and slow experience of walking. The material palette focuses on earthy and natural textures, comprised of materials with low initial-impact CO2 footprints, seeking to create a sensory, sustainable environment.
