dominique + serena is a multidisciplinary architectural studio founded by Dominique Hauderowicz and Kristian Ly Serena. We are especially interested in the social potentials of architecture and the build environment.

This was a dual assignment: To create a temporary urban space to function under the Skørping byfest (yearly town-party), and test the ideas and layout of the landscape project that is to be realised in 2025.

The installation was realised in close collaboration with locals, who contributed different parts of the installation. Our intervention was a large, central sand pit, that was compiled of materials from the municipal material-yard, where they have returned after the party. The trees were sourced by the municipal maintance guy, who cut them down in wetlands where they are invasive to the natural habitat, and were donated to a local scout-group afterwards to pracitice wood carving.
The furniture was build by locals, to be repurpused in other festivals throughout the year.
As part of the party-programme, we presented the future project through a 1:50 model on site.
